Built around Caribbean learners

Three programmes for different stages of the secondary journey.

Three independent programme options

Begin with your learner’s present educational stage.

Secondary Education Solutions brings together programmes designed for Middle School, secondary education and SAT preparation. Families do not have to begin with Future-Ready Foundations or move through every programme in order.

Learners may enrol throughout the year and enter the programme that matches their age, educational stage, readiness and objective, subject to placement review and availability.

Pathway 01

Future-Ready Foundations: Ages 12+

A Middle School programme after primary school or SEA.

An Afro-Caribbean Middle School learner studying independently with a laptop and notebook

  • moving beyond primary school or SEA, or already in Middle School
  • ready to participate in guided online or hybrid learning

Suited to learners who

  • need stronger academic and study habits
  • would benefit from flexibility with clear structure
  • are preparing for more advanced secondary study

Direct entry is available throughout the year, subject to placement and availability. Learners do not need to continue into another Apex Bright Futures programme.

Pathway 02

International High School Diploma: Ages 15+

An alternative secondary-school qualification.

An Afro-Caribbean teenage learner completing an independent engineering project

An internationally oriented diploma programme for learners aged 15+, combining self-paced coursework with live guidance, Learning Coach support and preparation for what comes next.

Eligibility guide

  • aged 15 or older
  • ready to enter or continue high-school-level study
  • previous secondary work available for review where applicable

Suited to learners who

  • are considering an alternative before or after CSEC or CAPE
  • want an online or hybrid diploma pathway
  • can develop independence within a guided structure

Learners may enter this programme directly throughout the year; Future-Ready Foundations is not a prerequisite. Starting point and remaining requirements are confirmed after academic-record review.

A pathway to tertiary education

International diplomas can support applications within the Caribbean.

An International High School Diploma may be used when applying to universities, colleges and other tertiary-level institutions in the Caribbean—not only institutions overseas.

Accreditation and recognition

Accreditation and recognition apply to the relevant programme. Families receive the current awarding, accreditation and recognition information for the International High School Diploma before enrolment.

Pathway 03

University Readiness: Ages 17+

An Indo-Caribbean teenage learner considering university and career possibilities

A transition-first pathway for Caribbean school-leavers exploring what comes after CSEC, CAPE, a High School Diploma or an equivalent qualification. Learners begin by considering career and university possibilities before deciding whether the SAT may be relevant.

Understand the options before choosing one.

What is Secondary Education Solutions?

Secondary Education Solutions is the programme area within Apex Bright Futures that includes Future-Ready Foundations, the International High School Diploma and University Readiness.

Which programme should my child enter?

That depends on your child’s age, present educational stage, academic record, preferred learning experience and next objective. The pathway consultation is designed to guide that decision.

Must my child start with Future-Ready Foundations and complete all three programmes?

No. These are independent programme options, not compulsory stages. Your child may apply directly to the programme that fits their current age, educational stage, qualifications, readiness and objective.

Can my child enrol during the school year?

Yes. Enrolment is available throughout the year, subject to programme eligibility, placement review and availability at the time of application.

Is learning fully self-paced?

The delivery model depends on the selected programme. It may combine flexible coursework with educator guidance, agreed structures and live instruction.

Are fees, schedules and intake dates available?

Current operational details are confirmed during enquiry because they may change between programmes and intakes.
